About

My curiosity for intercultural learning stemmed from completing a public relations internship in London during my sophomore year of undergrad at the University of Iowa. This valuable experience inspired me to become a global mentor at the University of Iowa and then to study abroad at Bond University in Gold Coast, Australia.

After deeply resonating with the Australian culture, I decided to move to Sydney after receiving my Bachelor of Arts degree in Communications with a Certificate in Entrepreneurial Management. Independently navigating life and working abroad taught me about the importance of intercultural adaptation and cross-cultural communication.

I decided to move to California after a year of living in Sydney. After a few years of developing my skills in marketing, communications, and business management, I thought back to the time I worked with students as a global mentor and rediscovered my passion for international education and training. This led me to obtain a Master of Arts in International Education Management at the Middlebury Institute of International Studies at Monterey. 

The salience of intercultural competence has become an inherent value of mine after living and traveling internationally. As a Global Seminars Coordinator at UC San Diego, I am driven to facilitate these pivotal experiences for collegiate students while simultaneously providing holistic developmental support and training. Additionally, I am eager to cultivate inclusivity and diversity in higher education and continue to learn about the remarkable cultures around the world.
